Kristen Guillaume serves on the board of directors for Beacon Mental Health. Over two decades of experience in the healthcare industry give her a great appreciation for the work done by the staff at Beacon Mental Health.

“In my prior role at Netsmart, I worked with hundreds of mental health providers and Beacon is one of the best,” Kristen said. “As the Chief Digital and Information Officer at North Kansas City Hospital and Meritas Health, and more importantly, a member of this community, I appreciate the role Beacon plays in serving the Northland.”

Kristen’s scope of interests reflect her passion for her work. She oversees information technology, marketing services and community health and wellness at North Kansas City Hospital. Because Beacon and North Kansas City Hospital often work together to serve the same people, she is glad to see that Beacon is well-positioned to continue supporting the community.

Beacon’s recent review from CARF® resulted in a three-year certification, the top level of accreditation. “Beacon is a leader in the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic movement and continues to be nationally recognized as an excellent community mental health center. I am proud to serve on its board of directors.”

Kristen also enjoys her interactions with fellow board members.

“People serving on the board come from a wide variety of backgrounds, bringing their own perspectives to help guide the organization,” Kristen said. “There’s a broad spectrum of experience and everyone is on a mission to support Beacon in serving the needs of our community.”

Kristen’s perspectives from working in information technology at North Kansas City Hospital are appreciated and valued by her fellow board members. Beacon Mental Health is fortunate to have volunteers like Kristen to bring a variety of skills and experience to the board of directors.
